Miss Independent

Anna had her 4 month appointment yesterday and got a nasty round of shots again. Watching her face crumple into tears and then degrade into all out hysteria was horrible! Otherwise, the appointment was great. Anna weighs 14 lbs, 4 ounces and is 25.5 inches long now. We were thinking of delaying solids for a while, but the doctor seemed to think she was ready so we tried out rice cereal this afternoon. As messy as the first attempt was, Anna seemed thrilled with the new entertainment. She's definitely our kid. She ate like a champ (dad's appetite) and insisted on trying to control the spoon herself (that's mom all the way).

That's great that she liked it! I can hardly get Grady to eat anything. So unlike Grant and so frustrating!

I LOVE how tiny she looks in that highchair... just her head popping up over the top. I looked at Jack and Alex's 4 month stats and they were 17 lbs, 7 oz (J) and 15 lbs, 15 oz (A); and 27" (J) and 26.5" (A)! They were SO massive! I started them both on solids at 4 months too.
