Where Did My Happy, Sleepy Little Anna Go!?

Since the last blog, our little girl has morphed into something somewhat unrecognizable to us. There has been plenty of screaming and crying... and very little napping. I'm gonna go ahead and blame it on teething and a tiny cold. Regardless, it hasn't made for great blog content. I did manage to catch two moments of cuteness in the midst of the storm so I thought I'd share.

Anna's Fluff-Filled Friends

When I put Anna to bed at night, I lay her at the very bottom of the crib and put all her stuffed animals at the top. By the time I come and get her in the morning, she's usually managed to wiggle all the way up to the top of the crib and has pulled every last stuffed friend as close as possible. Wet T-Shirt Contest

Anna's been trying her best with a sippy cup, but somehow, 80% of the water ends up down the front of her. If wet t-shirt contests really were about the volume of water on one's shirt, she'd be a clear winner.

On another note, I here's a pretty cute video of Anna playing with her polka dot ball. The clip's a minute long, but it really only takes about 30 seconds to get the idea:

The Life of a Firstborn

I just got an email with a few more Christmas photos, including this one which shows the response Anna got when she arrived at the Eckhardts on Christmas Day. Before I could even get my coat off, she was swarmed with affection in the form of various googly noises. Ah, the life of a firstborn. I guess it takes one to know one in the making. I'm seriously not bitter at all that no one noticed the hair perfection that descended upon my head on Christmas Day. No really, that's fine, I understand my reign is over.

Going, going, gone

A couple days ago we took Anna for a walk around the neighborhood in the new Radio Flyer wagon that Uncle Dave gave her for Christmas. Apparently she was nice and warm all bundled up in her coat, hat, gloves, and blankets because after about 25 minutes she fell asleep sitting up, face first into the blankets.
